Porch Swing Farm Day 3/27 and 28

Hello all! Another gorgeous day here! Lots of work getting done! We have added a protective wire barrier to the brooder coop so that the little guys are now able to get outside. I'll get some pics of them tomorrow. They've never been outside before so they are alternately thrilled and terrified. We also go some of the garden beds in - tomatoes for us and pumpkins for the pigs. We're having Easter here on Sunday and are excited to get some flowers in to perk the place up. We are also very hopeful for some warm days. We've had so much rain that the pond is now much larger than it should be and has crept into one of the pig areas.

If you look really hard, you can see Annie is investigating the scene. Maybe she has some ideas on draining all this water. I'll ask.

Saturdays are egg delivery, of course, and so many beautiful flowers are out now. These beautiful planters are at Catherine Robinson's house and were so striking - my favorite of the week!

And my garden helper, Djibouti encouraged me to take a minute or two to smell the roses...or give him some pets. Done. Sweet angel.

Hope you all had a great weekend. We're picking up fresh pork on Monday! Delivery this week! Yeah! Best - HP
